Greg Nichols
Expert Instructor
I began my shooter journey as most farm kids do, with a BB gun and sparrows. At age 11, I began to compete against adults with a shotgun in a Trap League and performed very well. Fast forward, I graduated and entered my first career, that of an enlisted Army Military Police soldier, where I rated expert in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, and M-60 machine gun my entire career. During that period of almost a decade, I had the opportunity to become the smallest, youngest, most junior member of SRT, beginning my journey to becoming an internationally recognized expert in MOUT (Military Operations in Urban Terrain), Urban Warfare, Urban Counter Insurgency (UCOIN), and close range gunfighting.
Throughout that career and after I was blessed with the opportunity to teach, perform, and/or train with special operators from all 4 branches, SAS, London CT, SASR, FBI HRT, numerous SWAT/LEO/CT agencies, PSD/Executive Protection, and 13 years (09’ ish) with the Suarez Group of companies. This has afforded me the opportunity to be invited all over the world, from Trinidad to the Czech Republic, and make dangerous friends all over the planet. During my tenure with Suarez, I’ve been able to amalgamate everything I’ve learned from my professional career with the Suarez techniques and kept only the most effective and pertinent to deliver to the public.
Over the last 26+ years, I have been to sandy places, muddy places (oddly both were hot as hell), and everything in between. I’ve earned a rebuilt foot, rebuilt wrist, a hip rebuilt twice, and a rebuilt nose. I’ve sustained 3 GSWs, 2 stabbings, a multitude of breaks, fractures, and dislocations. I have a compressed lower spine, arthritis, most of my major joints are absent the correct amount of cartilage, and I’m one good head injury away from coloring books for Christmas. I have the life and operational experience to add color commentary for those I teach and don’t teach what I only have theoretical experience in.
I look forward to meeting you in class!
