Marco Innocenti

Marco Innocenti was a sworn Law Enforcement Officer and E.M.T./First Responder from 1992 until his retirement in 2017. He was sworn as a Police Officer, Deputy Sheriff, and District Attorney Inspector in Northern California.

He worked Patrol, Court Security, Civil Services, as a Field Training Officer.  He was a felony-crimes Detective at his Police Department and Sheriff’s Office.  He ran the Firearms/Tactical Training programs for regular sworn and S.W.A.T./Special Operations personnel at all 3 of his Agencies in the positions of Lead Instructor/Rangemaster and Training Coordinator. 

The majority of his Law Enforcement career was spent assigned to S.W.A.T./Special Operations Teams in the positions of Point Entry/Assault and Maritime Interdiction Officer.  He was a six-time competitor in the “Best in the West International S.W.A.T. Competition.”

As a District Attorney Inspector for a large urban city/county in Northern California, he was assigned to the CalWRAP Witness Protection Detail, the City’s Dignitary Protection Detail and to a Dept. of Homeland Security Critical Infrastructure Protection and Risk Assessment Team at the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center/J.T.T.F., where he held a D.H.S. “Secret” clearance and earned his Master’s Certificate in Critical Infrastructure Protection.

He is a Court-certified Expert in Firearms/Weapons and Use of Force, and has successfully testified in court as such many times.

He also worked as an Executive Protection Agent/Bodyguard for several A-list celebrities, members of government, and Fortune 50 executives.

Marco is a CA. P.O.S.T.-certified Instructor for: Pistol, shotgun, AR/carbine; Arrest and Control/Defensive Tactics; Baton/Impact Weapons; and Taser.

He is a California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and Department of Justice-certified Firearms, Baton, and Powers of Arrest Instructor, I.A.L.E.F.I. Instructor/member, and an N.R.A. Instructor/Range Safety Officer.

He has trained with members of Tier 1 military and S.W.A.T. units from around the world, as well as numerous courses with Suarez Tactics, Northern Red, and Red Force L.L.C.  He earned top gun/expert ratings from the Gunsite Academy in 350 Pistol, 223 AR/carbine, and 260 Shotgun.

He is also the Chief Instructor and Executive Protection Coordinator for a California-based Private Security Company located in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Marco developed and delivered a comprehensive Firearms/Use of Force Training Program for Law Enforcement, Military, Private Security/E.P. Agents, and private citizens; that includes 1811-certified qualifications for retired Federal Law Enforcement Officers and Maritime Contract personnel, Taser/self-defense training; and customized training for celebrity/V.I.P. clientele.

Since beginning his training journey with Suarez Tactics, Marco has been a passionate and dedicated student of their philosophy and curriculum. 

Since receiving his first certification from the F.B.I. as a S.W.A.T. Officer in 1996, Marco has successfully trained over a thousand law enforcement officers, military personnel, private security/Executive Protection Agents, and responsible citizens from the United States, Central and Southern America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
